Yes, there have been many UFO sightings in St. Joseph County (Where the Magic Capital is located). In fact, Southwest Michigan has a documented history of unidentified aerial phenomena.
Most of these incidents have been explained, but there are a few - like the recent event shown above (case #147377) - that have not been explained yet. The photo does look a little like a tear in our atmosphere with something metallic and cylindrical coming out of it when it was zoomed in on as shown above.
Below are some of the sightings from the past with explanations when available.
Southwest Michigan (February 12, 2023): Multiple residents in St. Joseph and surrounding counties reported a train of bright lights racing across the night sky. While it caused a local stir, space experts later identified the phenomenon as a passing train of SpaceX Starlink satellites.
West Michigan Lakeshore Event (March 8, 1994): While concentrated slightly further north, this is Michigan's most famous mass sighting. Over 300 911 calls were made across 42 counties (including the broader southwest region) reporting erratic, multi-colored orbs that were even corroborated by National Weather Service radar.
Colon Michigan Midnight Sightings (August 18, 1972): Magicians at Abbott's Get Together were hosting their midnight graveyard tour when the entire group mentioned seeing lights in the sky. In fact, most of the village that was outside saw them darting through the sky. The next day the mystery was solved when several deflated helium balloons with glo sticks tied to them were found scattered on the grounds of the village. The perpetrator of the hoax was never discovered, probably the same individual who painted an extra "bone" on the Abbott skeletons on the Abbott building.
As you can see, people from the Magic Capital are not quite ready to jump everytime a UFO is mentioned, even when it happens in their own back yard. One does have to wonder though that if there are extraterrestrials around, would anyone even notice them at the Magic Capital? With all the strange magic happenings going on here, it really would be the perfect camouflage for extraterrestrial activities - and one has to wonder what they would be saying about us to their leaders as this is certainly not your average American village.

The humans from the Magic Capital gathered in the street to watch a girl get sealed in a box, lifted up by a crane, and then lit the rope holding the girl on fire.
Did the rope break Earth Force?
Yes it did but the girl had somehow transported out and came out of the pizza parlor eating pizza.

Thats what we mean when we say the people of the Magic Capital have seen it all. UFO's are simply another trick to them and they are certainly not going to get their "wands in a tiff" over that.
